MTSU Signature Program: Costa Rica Learning Cooperative (CRLC)
Imagine students and their professors working together in a cooperative setting as unique and engaging as each of its members. As a participant in the MTSU Costa Rica program, you will do more than just study abroad. You will be part of a community of learners seeking a fresh perspective in an interconnected world. Because of the cooperative nature of this project, participation is limited to a select number of participants. What will you bring to the table?
Earn 3 credit hours in the following course this summer:
SPAN 3990/5990 - Culture and Conversation (in Spanish–counts toward Spanish major or minor, and as elective credit for many other degree programs)
Dates: July 13-31, 2018
The course will be capped at roughly 15 students and will meet about 10 times during the program in a dedicated classroom space. Course taught by MTSU faculty.

Estimated program cost: $2,990
includes airfare, lodging, breakfast and 10 group meals including a welcome dinner and farewell dinner, admission fees for course-related tours and excursions, in-country transportation.
Program cost does not include:
most lunches and dinners, MTSU tuition and fees ($875.75 with the summer Signature Program discount), baggage fees, passport, visa fees for non-US citizens, Office of Education Abroad fee ($50), iNext insurance ($32), personal costs.
Program application deadline - $500 non-refundable deposit - is December 4, 2017
