Program Description:
Scholarship! The Office of Education Abroad Summer 2018 Scholarship and Grant are applicable to this program.  Please see the Scholarships section of our website to review requirements and apply.  Please contact the Office of Education Abroad if you have any questions.  We encourage all students to apply! 

MTSU Signature Program: Theatre in Education: Guatemala
Earn 3 credit hours for THEA 4620 or THEA 4610
Dates:  May 5-13, 2018 plus meetings weekly four weeks prior to the program

Interested students must meet with the faculty leader for an interview and audition.

Estimated program cost: $1,020 includes lodging, meals, in-country transportation
Program cost does not include: MTSU tuition & fees ($807.75 including the summer 2018 Signature Program discount), Office of Education Abroad fee ($50), iNext insurance ($32), airfare, personal spending money, passport. 

In collaboration with Guatemalan teachers, MTSU students will create a musical performance teaching life skills.  They will write, produce, and perform the show locally and then in Guatemala. Students will have the opportunity to see first-hand the value of educational theatre in the lives of children no matter the culture or country.
