Choosing a study abroad program can be overwhelming, so we offer advising for all programs!

Don’t know where to start? Then, general advising is for you!
Please contact Megan Richard, Education Abroad Analyst, at megan.richard@mtsu.edu to:

  • Schedule an appointment OR
  • Stop by Jones Hall for walk-in hours* on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.   
 *Walk-in hours are subject to change. Any changes will be made at the top of the page. The wait times can be unpredictable as we advise on a first come, first served basis. You can always schedule an appointment if needed. Please check-in with the front desk at 152 and have a seat if an advising appointment is already in session.

Want to learn about our Signature Faculty-Led Programs (range from 10 days-1 month in length)?  Then, Faculty-Led Advising is for you!
It is preferable to meet with Megan at least 6 months before the start of a faculty-led short-term program.

Want to learn about our Direct Enroll Provider Programs (range from a few weeks to a full year in length) or Exchange Program (semester/year)? Then advising with Paige Brake, Director of Education Abroad, is for you!

Students who plan to participate in a direct provider program (short-term or semester/year) or exchange programs (semester/year) are required to meet with Director of Education Abroad, Paige Brake, at least 6 months before a short, direct program and 9-12 months before a semester/academic year study abroad program.

  • Stop by Jones Hall for walk-in hours* on Mondays 11 am-1 pm or Tuesdays 2:00- 4:00 p.m. or Thursdays  2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
