Yes, there are A LOT of deadlines which need to be met in order to partcipate on an education abroad program!  We recommend adding them to your calendar early so you don’t forget!

Walk-in Advising, Monday – Wednesday, 1:00pm – 4:00pm
No appointments during Walk-In Advising hours – just come in!  Walk-in Advising is available when classes are in session.

Study Abroad 101
Three Information Sessions will be held during the Fall 2013 semester. No reservations required – just show up!  Study Abroad 101 Info Sessions provide very general information for students who just to learn the basics and are typically only beneficial to students who have NOT already participated in an individual advising session in the Office of Education Abroad.

MTSU Education Abroad Scholarship Deadlines
Winter 13-14: Wednesday, September 18th, 2013
Spring 2014: Wednesday, October 16th, 2013
Summer 2014:  Wednesday, January 29th, 2014

Fall 2014/Full Year 14-15:  Wednesday, February 19th, 2014
The applications for this scholarship can be found on the Scholarship section of our website.  Outside scholarships have different deadlines.

Winter 13-14: Friday, November 1st, 2013
Spring 2014 programs: Friday, November 1st, 2013
Summer 2014 programs: Friday, March 7th, 2014
Fall 2014-15  programs: Friday, April 4th, 2014

**We HIGHLY recommend an earlier submission as the requirements/deadlines listed below must also be met.

Accepted students must attend this orientation in order to participate in their education abroad program.  Put this on your calendar now!

Spring Break 2014 programs: Thursday, February 13th, 2014
Summer 2014 programs: Saturday, April 12th, 2014; 8:45am - 12:30pm, LRC 221

Gilman Scholarship Feedback - MTSU Internal Deadline
Are you a Pell Grant recipient?  Do you plan to study abroad for a Summer 2014 term (at least four weeks), a Fall 2014 semester, or a 2014-15 Academic Year?  If so, you may qualify to apply for the Gilman Scholarship!  You can read more about this opportuniity on our Scholarships & Financial Aid page as well as the Gilman website.
To encourage and assist our MTSU students through the Gilman application process, we will provide feedback on the Gilman essays which are submitted to Tiffany.Bickers@mtsu.edu by the internal deadlines listed below.  Please expect to wait 3-5 busines days for the feedback to your MTSU email address.  This is NOT a requirement to apply for this outside scholarship, but it is highly recommended.  You can also schedule a meeting with Tiffany.Bickers@mtsu.edu before starting the essays to discuss the process and get some tips for a competitive application.
