Advising

Education Abroad Advising

Students who plan to participate in an education abroad program are recommended to meet with the Office of Education Abroad for an advising session.
This meeting should occur at least 6 months before a short-term program and 9-12 months before a semester/academic year study abroad program.

Walk-in Advising Hours
No appointment necessary!

Walk-In Advising regarding general study abroad questions and short-term programs is available during the semesters on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. For exchange or year-long programs, walk-in advising is on Tuesdays from 2:00-4:00 pm and Wednesdays 10:00 am-12:00 pm.

NOTICE for 4/23/24: Walk-in Advising for short-term programs is cancelled for Tuesday, 4/23/24. Walk-in Advising for exchange programs is available from 3-4 pm only on Tuesday, 4/23/24.

The wait times can be unpredictable as we advise on a first come, first served basis and it depends on how many students show up, so you can always schedule an appointment if needed.

Please check-in with the front desk at 152 and have a seat if an advising appointment is already in session.

Appointment Requests

Students who are interested in short-term (Winter, Spring Break, Summer) programs will need to email Megan Richard at megan.richard@mtsu.edu to set up an appointment.
