Program Description:

This program has three sessions: 

Session I: May 21 - June 18, 2018
Session II: June 18 - July 16, 2018
Session III: July 16 - August 12, 2018

This summer program is designed for students to learn about Spain and Spanish culture and/or take their Spanish language skills to the next level, with a choice of one, two, or three four-week sessions. Options include language courses at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced level, and content course taught in both English and Spanish in art, history, politics, and urban culture, taught in English and Spanish.

Before coming to Spain, students take a placement exam to ensure placement at the appropriate language level. Language courses are taught by experienced professors who specialize in teaching Spanish as a second language. CIEE courses are taught by area university faculty members.

Classes are held at the CIEE Study Center in Barcelona, near the main square. The Center includes adjoining historic buildings on Passatge Permanyer, near Passeig de Gràcia and Plaza Catalunya.
