About Us
Welcome to the Office of Education Abroad at Middle Tennessee State University.
We are here to serve the students, parents, and faculty of MTSU with exceptional education abroad programming. This process is very extensive, so start early! OEA offers hundreds of approved education abroad program options located in over 65 countries. In addition, our office welcomes new exchange students every year to complete their study abroad program here at MTSU.
It is never too early to begin planning this unique international component of your MTSU degree program. Aside from researching this website, we encourage you to visit us in Jones Hall rooms 115 & 113, especially during walk in advising hours. We look forward to meeting you!

Our office is typically open during the following times, but please call ahead to be certain. If you need to speak to a specific person, please make an appointment.
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Walk-in Advising Hours:
Walk-in advising is available and no appointment is necessary during walk-in times. Advising appointments are also available. Advisors have set advising hours, please see the advising page linked below for more details. Advisors are flexible if the hours listed to not fit your schedule, just ask!
Walk-in Advising allows students to simply walk in our office and meet face to face with an Education Abroad Advisor to discuss the various program options, scholarship opportunities, and address any questions or concerns. No appointments are required or accepted during walk-in advising hours. Just come in!
